Some Advantages

Advance Auto Parts tries to be a bi-lingual business and encourages Spanish speaking employees to come work for them.  Their website even has a Spanish version.  Advance Auto Parts knows there is no bargain getting advanced auto parts on sale if the sales staff is rude, dimwitted or indifferent.  Don’t be afraid to ask questions to the employees at Advance Auto Parts about your new advanced auto parts – it’s their job to help you, or they have to look for another job.

Another advantage of Advance Auto Parts is that there is a whole bunch of them all across America, so you’re not stuck having to go to just one store.  There are currently about 3000 stores in the East Coast and the Central states.  If you live on the West Coast, sorry – there aren’t any stores out there yet.

Big Online Shop

However, even if there aren’t any real world Advance Auto Parts stores in your state, you can still buy your advanced auto parts, tools and car fluids from their huge online web catalogue.  They ask that, if you want a specific car part, to tell them what make and model of car you have, so this will better help you select the right part for the right car the first time.

You can shop by category or even by advanced auto parts numbers (if you happen to know the exact numbers that you need; hey, it can happen).  As of this writing, you can pay online only by major credit card.  Most shipping of your order is in about five business days or less.  When you make an order, you get a “promise date”, which is their lingo for “estimated delivery date” or “when you really have to start worrying date”.

If you do have an Advance Auto Parts real world shop near you, but don’t have a lot of time to shop in the actual store, you can shop online and pick all your stuff up at the store.

If you are eyeing on a new car but you simply cannot afford it, then you have to do some measures to come up with the money you need in order to buy it. One good idea would be selling the car parts you have in your old cars. If you have a Saturn car in your garage and you can’t make use of it already, then why not try to sell its parts? If some of the parts in your Saturn cars are still in good condition, then make money out of it in order to buy the new car that you want. Good idea, isn’t it?

Used Saturn Car Parts – Are They Still In Good Shape?

Saturn car parts or the Saturn brand itself is known for its durability. Almost annually, it produces the best cars sold all over the world. So if you have a very old model of a Saturn car, you might want to sell its parts to some interested buyers so you’ll have a capital for your new car.

The value of your Saturn car parts can only be known through an appraisal from a machine shop. Of course, they will base the price upon the quality of the car part that you are selling. If it doesn’t work in any way, then you can try selling the raw material itself. For example, you can sell the whole car to those who are interested in purchasing scrap material. But if your Saturn car parts are still working, then you can sell the items individually. Just make sure that you are dealing with the right people and be sure that you are equipped with the necessary knowledge that would help you in selling the Saturn car parts.

Used Saturn Car Parts – Where You Can Sell Them

Many people, especially those who are in the scrap material business, are interested in buying the materials from your old cars. Some even prefer to buy the most damaged ones for a lesser value. Other interested buyers would be the people from machine shops. They can make use of your valuable Saturn car parts in the operation or set up of a new car in their garage. Selling your Saturn car parts is actually easy to do. You just have to enter the right deal at the right time.

There are actually three places where you can sell your Saturn car parts, and these are: salvage yards, flea markets, and used car parts store. In fact, you can take images from your Saturn car and post it on the internet for an auction. The value of the Saturn car will increase if the model is very ancient. Some car displays or museums can get interested in your old Saturn cars. Again, you can sell the parts or the whole car itself. Knowing the right value of the car is very important in the trade. So like any other selling business, research first before making your move.

Save Money With Cheap Car Parts

Auto Barn - Shop on-line at our 5-Star Rated Site

Not every part in your car needs to be gold plated or made by hand by craftsmen somewhere in the eastern mountains of China.  Sometimes you can get by with repairs to your car done with cheap car parts.

For many things the only drawback to cheap car parts is that you may wind up replacing the part again sooner than you would if you have paid more money for a better part but if cheap car parts fit better into your budget at the moment you are getting the repair done then cheap car parts may be the way to go.

For most things cheap car parts are not going to really cause any damage if they fail premature.  The worst that can happen is that you get a new cheap car part from the warranty of the first cheap car part then try again.

It is all a game of setting the correct expectations.  If you know you are getting cheap car parts then you know you will replacing them sooner than normal.  The problem is getting cheap car parts when you do not expect it and then having to get answers out of your mechanic.

There are times when cheap car parts are not at all appropriate.  Your engine block is something you should not skimp on and nor are the spark plugs that go into that engine block.  Your brakes should be of the best quality you can afford and skimping on your tires is a really bad idea as well.  Some would argue that the stereo system should also not be economized but seeing as how car stereos are famous for their durability I would think that an inexpensive car stereo would do the job just fine.

You Can Tell By The Warranty

A dilemma many people face is learning how to tell if your mechanic is giving you cheap car parts or not.  The first way you can tell is by the warranty.  Your mechanic is usually not going to give you more of a warranty on the parts they use than the manufacturer does.

If your mechanic is giving you a series of 90 day warranties on the parts they are installing then they are using inexpensive parts.  If they are giving longer warranties then make sure you get that in writing just to protect yourself.  Not all mechanics are crooked but you should never take that chance.

There are many parts of the car that you could save money on by using inexpensive replacement parts instead of name brand high priced parts.  Always keep your mind open to possibilities and if you trust your mechanic then seek their advice when needed.

New Car Part

Growing World Of The New Car Part

If you go back 20 or 30 years ago you find that the world of selling car parts was fairly simple.  Everyone was using the same technology and, in many cases, they were also using the same parts.

Of course each manufacturer had their own engineering methods that created the differences in the cars but in many cases you could become very confused by all of the different car models that looked exactly alike.  It was no coincidence that some models resembled others as they were all using the same basic technology.

As automobile technology advanced manufacturers soon started to create models that did not resemble one another.  The influence of the foreign auto makers caused American auto makers to become more creative to have their models stand out.  As models became more identifiable they also required a lot more parts.

Suddenly the new car part no longer fit four or five different models.  There still is the occasional new car part that is somewhat universal but most manufacturers decided that the new car part for their models was going to be unique to their models.  Not only did this help with creating separate identities, it also helped with the bottom line.

If the newest Chevy required a different new car part than the newest Ford, then suddenly more parts needed to be made.  More manufacturers started creating what they called dealer only parts which means that you could not run down to your local auto part store and get that new car part.  You had to go to the nearest dealer and pay a lot more for the new car part than you would if it was available as a generic.  Now the new car part market is a money making machine for manufacturers and the consumer winds up paying more in the end.

Anything For The Almighty Dollar

In the old days it was easy to get a new car part.  It was uncommon for a part to be only available through the dealer as most vehicles used standard and common parts.  But as the manufacturers started to really customize their new models they also came out with a plan to make more money on the new car parts people would need.  Now more parts are dealer only and even parts you can buy in a auto part store can be very specific to the model of your vehicle.  It is all just another way to make sure that you are paying as much as possible to keep your vehicle on the road.

You need to fix your car but you’re also trying to save a little money. Are you stuck with buying new parts? No, of course you’re not. You might be thinking that old car parts won’t work as good as new ones, or that you’ll have to replace them more often than new ones. That’s not true if you know what you’re looking for and what you’re doing. It all depends on what kind of old car parts you need, what the parts are, and where you get them from. If you don’t know much about cars, by all means, take someone along with you who does know about cars. If you do know about cars, make sure you shop around to make sure you’re getting the best quality old car parts for the best possible price.

What Kind Of Parts

There are certain old car parts that will work just fine for your car. These parts include rims, bumpers and other old car parts that can be refurbished to look like new. You don’t want old brakes, old tires or anything that can be dangerous to put on your car. Make sure the old car parts work just like new and never choose anything you’re hesitant about.

Where To Get Them

If you don’t know about cars, again, take someone along with you who knows about cars. You can get old car parts from junk yards, you can get them online from internet auction sites, you can respond to ads in the newspaper or on free internet listing sites, or anywhere else where someone is advertising old car parts. Make sure that you examine the old car parts thoroughly so that you know exactly what you’re getting. If you have someone with you who knows about cars, make sure they examine the parts. You never want to put anything on your car that you’re not sure about. If you need to replace the part in a few weeks or months, you may as well have bought a new car part. You can get old car parts, just make sure they’re still good enough to use on your car and that they’re safe.

Shop Around

Just like when buying new car parts, always shop around for the best deals when shopping for old car parts. There are many ways and many places to obtain old parts and everyone will charge a different price. So do your own research so that you know what you should spend and make sure you’re never taken advantage of.
